Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. Her most famous role is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) where she has twice been awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also appeared in NBC's Whitney (2011-2013) and ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004), and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on May 12, 1972. Her mother was executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and moved around a lot during her youth. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father, she studied drawing, painting, and architecture from a young age. Although she was interested in all of the arts in her life, she also developed a passion for acting. While in college she was exposed to contemporary theatre. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While at university, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the advice of her acting professor. She tried to get noticed by working various ancillary roles in D.C. theater. While she was eventually able to be a part of major local theatre productions, and was forced be able to find odd jobs in order to survive and make ends meet, she continued to work in the field of film as a teacher filmmaker. In the next few years, she became involved in more TV productions. She was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very wry," "sarcastic, and very intelligent" women. These roles are usually ended after only one to two seasons. In the month of May, 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and love interest of the aforementioned Jimmy McGill/Saul Wellman (Bob Odenkirk).
