Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright, born 17 February 1991 was an English actress. She is also an actor, director, activist, and actress. She is well-known for her role in the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.Born in London, Wright made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) in which she played the role for 10 years until the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011). After the film, Wright appeared in a series of independent films which included Before I Sleep (2013), The Sea (2013) as well as After the Dark (2014) and After the Dark (2014). The films received mixed reviews. In 2013 she made her stage debut with Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse. She also obtained a bachelor's degree in filmmaking from the University of the Arts London. Her company was later established as her own production firm, BonBonLumiere, and began producing short films. Her first film she directed was called the coming-of-age thriller Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at Cannes Film Festival to great reviews. She directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, and Sextant (2016) Both of which focused on landscape and emotions as themes. Wright's three-part series Phone Calls, which was premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, comprised three episodes. Medusa's Ankles (2018) The film stars Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and based upon A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She also directed music videos for artists Sophie Lowe, Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson. Wright is well-known for her environmental activism; she is also an ambassador for charities Greenpeace as well as Lumos.
