Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter was born July 23, 1970. Cordelia Chase was a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural drama series (1997-1999) and the spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also played Kyra in Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter, who worked in a bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also a member of a song-and dance troupe that performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was just 15 years old. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter took a trip to Europe after she graduated. When she returned to San Diego, she worked as a clerk in a video store as well as an aerobics teacher as well as in property management. She cheered for the San Diego Chargers football club in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles. She was swimming in San Diego with two male friends when Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist was threatening them. Both Hubbard Jr. and her comrades were wounded in the fight. Both of them survived. Hubbard was arrested, found guilty, and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of rapes and robberies. Carpenter Hubbard was arrested and convicted. Carpenter Hubbard his flashlight from the police station on the beach. Hubbard had left it in the area. The flashlight turned out to be an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
