Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature sparkling blonde locks, and her bubbly up appearance, offers basic techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell has worked in top New York restaurants and studied Italian cooking traditions as well as the landscape. In addition, she appeared in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for culinary arts and cooking from young age. Her passion was for the restaurant industry by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America after earning a degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a fantastic experience for me. I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, and this has left an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell was part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which aims to enrich the lives of kids facing obstacles. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador in which she promotes the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share the joy of cooking as well as her profession. Anne stated that she felt privileged in that she could communicate her love of cooking to other people.
